For The Better Biography
For The Better is a highly ambitious, metalcore-adjacent four piece from Pennsylvania who has made it their mission through music to form a community of support around those suffering from OCD and other mental health issues.
Vocalist Craig Stanley's personal journey with obsessive-compulsive disorder forms the heart of the band's narrative, but his creative expression of these challenges resonate far beyond the boundaries of his singular experience—a notion confirmed by the millions of streams the band's self-funded debut release "Brain Lock" has amassed. This, coupled with the momentum of hundreds of live shows including an appearance at the prestigious Aftershock Festival, has inspired For The Better to further expand their reach in an effort to help.
In 2024, the band launched a rising Discord channel to connect those with a mutual love of heavy music and shared mental health struggles. They also wrapped a years-long exploration of bold, immersive, and highly stylized new material with producer Steve Sopchak (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White) TBD.
