Maximilian Höcherl Biography
Acclaimed as „a charismatic voice experimenter with a velvet voice“ (Süddeutsche Zeitung),
Maximilian Höcherl is in demand as both a jazz singer and a lyrical baritone. His presence
on stage and his charismatic command over an audience have brought him on many stages
such as the Philharmonic Hall Gasteig Munich, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Opera
Leipzig the Hercules Hall at the Munich Residence and the Jazz Club Unterfahrt as well as
Festivals like Jazztime Böblingen and the International Jazz Week Burghausen.
In 2019 the Ministry of Cultural Affairs honored him as a „Gesamtkunstwerk“ and awarded
him a 6 months scholarship at the „Cité internationale des arts“ in Paris as artist in
residence.
Apart from his performances on stage he is teaching Jazz Vocals at the University of Music
and Performing Arts in Munich and helps artists to thrive in the spotlight with his coaching
format Rampensau Training.
