Christian Quevedo Biography
Tenor, Christian Quevedo, holds a bachelors degree in Music from Cal State University of San Bernardino, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance and a minor in Music Education.
Christian currently sings for the United Methodist Church of Palm Springs as lead singer and with the newfound Coachella Valley Classical Voices in the Palm Springs area. He also works for the student outreach program with the Palm Springs Opera Guild. Christian is scheduled to perform the role of Narraboth in Salome, at NOVA Performing Arts Center in Montana in April 2023, and lead tenor in Phillips Glass's production of "The Book of Longing" in May of 2023.
Christian is an artist whose versatile skills as a singer and actor have made him highly visible in oratorio, opera, choral work, musical theatre and as a soloist. Noted for countless musical endeavors and performances with The California Desert Choir, Coachella Valley Symphony and The McCallum theatre stage.
Mr. Quevedo’s opera performances as leading tenor include John Adam’s, I was looking at the Ceiling and then I saw the Sky. Opera in the Trenches, scenes from Cossi fan tutte, La fille du regiment, La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein, La Traviata and La Boheme. Mr. Quevedo’s musical theatre credits include Les Miserable, West Side Story, Rent, Oklahoma and Sondheim’s operetta A Little Night Music. In concert performances include Verdi’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and John Rutter’s Mass of the Children.
