Deathstruck

DEATHSTRUCK was formed in Budapest, Hungary in April 2012. However the idea of bringing back the traditional Gothenburg death metal style goes back to six years earlier when the overpopulated metalcore genre reached its commercial peak. The band was initially known as DEAD ETERNITY and after 3 years of partial activity ceased to exist so each member would start working on their own projects. During a jam session in early 2012 drummer Bende Tóth who previously had tried out for Dead Eternity advised to play 'Dystopic New Era' which later led to the revival. Deathstruck has created a very intense and melodic sound mixing brutal vocals of Zsolt Lédeczi - whose voice is often compared to Tomas Lindberg - with aggressive thrash-death-inspired instrumentals of Peti Kulcsár, András Koloszár and Bende Tóth. Despite the continuous lineup changes the band has played shows in countries such as Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland. In July 2014 the debut "Momentary Lapse Of Sanity" single was released followed by the third European tour in November.
