About this concert
Patonga Blues Across the Bay @ BROKEN BAY SPORT & RECREATION CENTRE (via ferry from Patonga) Australia’s Only – Ferry Only Access – Blues Festival! 3 Bands – BYO Picnic – Great Day out for ALL! For those not already in the know – Patonga Blues starts with it’s renowned ferry ride to the shores of Broken Bay Sport And Recreation Centre. Once there, you can drop off your BYO picnic and chairs to the helpful Centre Staff, who will take your gear, while you enjoy a lovely 3 minute flat leisurely walk around to the festival site. If you need a some assistance staff are more than willing to help and even offer a lift if necessary. After a Welcome to Country, 3 bands will entertain you with Stephanie Marchant & the Monster Band starting the day, followed by Frank Sultana's Blues Machine and headlining is The Badloves performing all their hits incl: Green Limousine, Lost, The Weight, Caroline, Memphis...while you eat and drink your own food, and perhaps even indulge in a bit of dancing, for an awesome and relaxed afternoon. This is a not-for-profit community event, that runs entirely on volunteers who do not get paid. Your ticket price includes the ferry trip, the bands, and venue hire. This year, in order to give patrons the same experience as per previous years, rising costs and new expenses have unfortunately pushed tickets prices up once again. We do believe, however despite this, Patonga Blues is still the same ‘value for money’ festival and a great day out!. Any money raised goes back into the community. In the past we have funded …. Furnishings (seats and tables) in the Patonga Pavillion (erected by Gosford City Council); installed bench seatings around the village and donated generously to worthwhile people and causes; Money has also been committed to improvements on the Patonga Progress hall including roof shelter on the Hall’s large deck. Remember, this is a small festival and tickets are strictly limited, so get cracking.

The Badloves Biography

The Badloves 1992 debut album "Get On Board" peaked at #5 on the ARIA charts achieving double platinum status and hovered in the charts for a gravity defying 69 weeks.

Throughout the 90's they enjoyed hits with "Green Limousine", "Lost", "Caroline", "Slave", "Barefoot Bride" "Memphis" and the Top 5 hit
"The Weight" with Jimmy Barnes.
That is the history.

Currently Michael Spiby is keeping The Badloves legacy alive and relevant with new music for 2019.
The moment you first hear their new single ‘Soulbrothertruckinsong’ you are immediately taken back to their trademark sound from 1993 featuring Hammond organ and Spiby’s rich soulful vocals.

Their follow up single “Tribal” released in mid 2020 enjoyed tremendous radio support, and expect to hear a new album from the band in early 2022.

The Badloves in 2021 has exactly the same authenticity Michael Spiby established in the ‘90s.

Once again, welcome aboard.
