Abstract Citizen is embarking on their first national tour. After touring extensively throughout Florida for two years, this groundbreaking young group of musicians, lead by powerhouse guitarist Aaron Lebos, will be bringing their fresh and unique sound to national audiences.
A group that explores a variety of musical genres through the broad lens of modern jazz and improvisation, Abstract Citizen is a perfect blend of beautiful melody, lush harmony, and electrifying rhythmic intensity. With Lebos on guitar, lead vocalist Justine Garcia, bassist Marty Quinn and drummer Brahm Masla, the compositions are played with intensity, precision and constant emotion.
The band will be sure to keep you engaged with the thoughtful, heartfelt, and stimulating show they are constantly vigorously fine tuning and developing. Being the recent recipient of the South Arts Jazz Roads grant, Abstract Citizen has been able to fund their summer tour going from Miami to Texas and back, make sure not to miss them!

Abstract Citizen 10 Biography
Abstract Citizen is the newest group from Guitarist/Composer Aaron Lebos. The band’s genre can be categorized under the wide umbrella term of “Modern Jazz” and most of the music was written in the first months of the pandemic.
Aaron is a Miami native and has been an active member of the music scene since he was 16 years old. He has played with some of the biggest names in South Florida such as Nicole Henry, Spam All-Stars, Nu Deco Ensemble and his previous original group Aaron Lebos Reality. He incorporates his diverse and eclectic style into the music of Abstract Citizen.
This is Aaron's first project utilizing vocals, and the band explores this endless textural possibility in many stunning and genre bending ways. The music is filled with simple yet unique melodies, complex yet accessible time signatures, improvisation, and a balance of structure and chaos. Most importantly this new music is filled with freshness and sincerity.
Joining Aaron is a remarkable band featuring some of the most in demand and creative musicians in South Florida. The quartet consists of Justine Garcia on vocals, Marty Quinn on bass and Brahm Masla on drums, all of whom are graduates of the highly acclaimed University of Miami Jazz program.
In the last few years they have regularly played at miami hot spots such as Lagniappe House, Fishhouse, Heartland, and they have begun touring the rest of Florida as well.
