By harnessing influences from past metal masters and contemporary heavyweights, like While She Sleeps, Gojira, Job for a Cowboy, We Came As Romans, Fit For A King; Storm the Empire produce music that is aggressive, formidable, and compelling. With the use of strong melodies and talented musicianship, the industrious quartet locked themselves down during the pandemic and released their second official release and self produced EP, “Within Chaos, There's Beauty” on Florida based Kingside records in Sep 2021. After some personnel changes and retooling the band is now currently working on their new album “Born of Embers”, and set to release their new single “Perseverance”June 2023. Over the summer of 2022, Storm the Empire travelled to perform at Fallen Music Fest, Decimate Metal Festival and Inter.sect Arts & Music Festival, captivating the crowds at each performance. Inspired by stories of war, deception and the power hungry who pull the strings behind world events, our first album Eradication is old school thrash metal aggression tempered with modern progressive melody. The song for their first official video “Iron Entities” tells the true story of a WW2 tank battle between Allied and Nazi forces. The title track on their recently released album 'Eradication' is a straight up in your face anthem on the brutality of war and total devastation. We spent our first years establishing ourselves around Alberta as high-octane performers, playing various festivals and anywhere we could have fun. In between starting mosh pits (sometimes on stage), we spent some time in 2011 filming scenes for a feature in an independent horror film titled 'Heavy Metal Horror'. Later that year, rhythm guitarist Richard would move to Ontario and the band would recruit guitar player Jordan Tuttle to fill the void. With the final addition of Patrick Kennedy on bass, Armifera began recording their first album, later released in May of 2013 on the HPGD Productions label. Since the release of Eradication, the band has been playing the indie circuits including favorite summer festivals such as Loud as Hell, Farmageddon Open Air and Alberta's Own.
