JonoJono Biography

Jonojono is a curious hybrid honing the smooth rides of RnB with a sheer use of electric distortion from 90's grunge/metal in his music. This Florida born, Houston, TX raised singer/guitarist/producer/ has equally strong influences from the likes of Kurt Cobain(Nirvana), Erykah Badu, James Hetfield(Metallica), and Frank Ocean(along with his uprising counterparts in the early group "Odd Future" including the names of Syd, Tyler the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, etc), which makes his definition of indie music own no limitations.

In his words, "music shouldn't have a name or a label as long as its authentic...it should be a gift of freedom to share stories in any way you want no matter the expectation of others" and this rebellious attitude truly reveals itself on stage making his gritty and catchy riffs resonate for those who listen. In quote to Alt77.com "Ask someone not entirely familiar with rock music to describe the genre and they will, most likely, focus on the screamed vocals and the loud guitars. Yes, that’s a good place to start. By that token, JonoJono’s grunge behemoth Crazy Love would work great in describing the music to aliens, anyone who doesn’t own a Nirvana record, or folks in Eastern Europe who’ve not had the opportunity to hear much besides their folk music.
