Albert Simpsons Southern funky folk sound and his rich Alabama accented voice are only the surface elements of the complex, honest and revealing songwriting that lies beneath.
When performing solo, without his band, Albert Simpson & The Contingent, he does so with all the bravado and musical complexity of a full band, delivering one of the most complete sounds from a solo artist you are likely to hear.
After signing with Rocking Camel Records, Simpson recorded his first albumn “Don't Wake Albert” with the legendary producer Johnny Sandlin. The artist then released his second albumn “Roll Your Mind” independantly. He is currently signed with 10 Ton Records, headed up by Jeremy Stephens, who was the long time engineer of Sandlin out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. With the release of "End of the Line" & "Pieces", the first two singles from the upcoming albumn, Jeremy and Albert are in sync with capturing his authentic southern sound.
