The Allen Foster Band Biography

"A Story That Begins In The Woods"
Allen Foster is a guitarists/songwriter from Brunswick, Maine with a unique musical charm creating a blend of country and rock that reaches deep down into the hearts of those who listen. As a self proclaimed “late bloomer”, Allen’s creativity has blossomed with a vengeance. Local success, along with recognition from Nashville, has thrown him into the spotlight.

He won Paramount’s Song & Lyric Competition in Nashville for his song “Your Name On It” .

Gabby Barrett, an artist from Pittsburgh, PA & a contestant on the current American Idol competition has recently cut/released 2 of Foster's songs, "Your Name On It" & "Freight Train". Allen plays guitar for her and they collaborate in writing. Stay tuned for future music, shows and adventures with these two.

Becoming August is Foster’s previous band. They were a popular mainstay in central Maine. It served as an outlet to bring his songwriting talent and vision to the world. Two albums “Twenty-One and “Someplace Better” written and produced by Foster, served as a catalyst for his creative expression born from his hard working, down to earth attitude about life,

His Heart is in the Woods & The Music’s in his Soul
Foster has a passion for bringing public awareness to his hard working fellow loggers who risk their lives to supply the world with the forest products used in homes every day. Logging, like music is a part of everyone’s life, but for Foster, its a way of life, there is no separation between the two. Paula Hersom, his partner in life and business, praises his pure, no nonsense attitude about music, logging and working hard.

The Next Cut...
Foster is excited and looks forward to working hard as he embraces this next chapter in his life. You will find him writing new songs to share with the world with Miss Gabby and playing guitar for her at their live shows. It will be a life of long days and long nights, working alongside the rhythms born only in the woods of Maine.
