Doug “Mug” Swanson – Bass
Actor and musician Doug Mug might be recognizable to many due to his recurring role in hit ABC TV show Nashville. He’s also an award winning musician. Doug grew up in Venice Beach California, has played with some of the best in the Blues/Rock world. He was the house Bass player at Babes & Ricky's Inn (L.A.'s oldest blues club) 1997-2003. After relocating to Nashville TN in 2011, he quickly became an in- demand touring/session Bass player. Doug has performed with Jackson Browne, Keb Mo, Paul Oscher, Ry Cooder, Tommy Cash (Johnny's brother), Texas Blues Legend Anson Funderburgh, Kim Wilson, Dave Alvin, Kenny Neal, Denny Freeman, Jimmy Hall, Curtis Salgado, Junior Watson, Rick Holmstrom, Kirk Fletcher, John Nemith, Kid Ramos, Sugar Ray Rayford. Doug also spent a few years playing bass guitar with with The Zac Harmon Band, when they won first place in the 2004 Blues Music Awards Competition in Memphis TN. Doug Performed at 25th and 27th W.C. Handy Blues Awards in Memphis TN and Performed at 33rd Blues Music Awards in Memphis TN, Doug was awarded "Best Blues Group/Artist"
at The All Access Music Awards 2005 Los Angeles. Doug is endorsed by Ernie Ball Strings, Quilter Bass Amps.
