Flood of Red Biography
Flood of Red are a 6 piece musical outfit from Glasgow, Scotland. They started in 2004 playing 'Post-Hardcore/Screamo' music but nnow describe themselves as 'Big and Loud' with more focus and thought on melody and songwriting.
They released an EP in early 2007 which was there first ever release. This received critical acclaim from varying publications in the United Kingdom. Following this release the band encountered varying problems from within the music industry and decided to concentrate on their music and bringing their live performances to fans all across the country, which they have done by touring tirelessly since their inception.
They have been in a rehearsal space in Glasgow for the summer of 2008 and have now written over 20 songs for their debut album which should see release in '09. These new songs include more varied instruments than their previous work now utilizing two drum sets and more tuned and un-tuned percussion.
Their live show has grown from sporadic enegry to a must see visual performance which transcends the basic rock show format, and becomes almost cinematic in parts.
