Step back into a golden era of soft rock music at the “Carpenters Tribute Night” on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Oscar’s Downtown Palm Springs. Gregory Douglass (vocals) and Michael Orland (piano) will take center stage at 7pm, interpreting the Carpenters’ soft melodic style, and recalling the timeless hits that made Karen and Richard Carpenter iconic figures in the music industry. Join us for dinner and drinks (starting at 5:30pm) and an unforgettable experience. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $45 for VIP seats.
Experience the artistic musicality and soulful voice of Gregory Douglass, who has shared the stage with stellar artists like Jason Mraz, Regina Spektor, and Anais Mitchell (writer and composer of HADESTOWN). His distinctive style, compared to the likes of Rufus Wainwright and Adele, will add depth to the classic Carpenters’ repertoire. Adding to this musical harmony, Michael Orland, best known as the pianist, arranger, and associate musical director from American Idol, will be playing the piano. He has worked with a host of renowned talents, including Ariana Grande, Barry Manilow, and Idina Menzel.
