Tanya Godsey

Every life is a story. Tanya Godsey's story began in the wide open Texas plains. There with the dust and storms she was born. And with a passion for singing that began at age 2, a piano in one corner and a guitar close behind, she began writing songs about life and faith. Two decades later, opportunity came calling in Nashville after she won AGMA's International CCM Song of the Year. Nashville became the backdrop for her first full-length album Nothing Less Than Everything.

2 Albums and 2 kids later she is a verifiable Tennessean. Her most recent album, Telling Time was released to widespread critical acclaim and focuses on the journey of life "from everyday to eternity." The official video for the album's first single "White Page" has been viewed in over 40 countries and the song has resonated with audiences everywhere including the United Kingdom where it reached #9 on Christian radio. Her song "You Make Everything Beautiful" along with "White Page", reached the semi-finals in the respected 2013 International Songwriting Competition.

Still, on any given day, you can catch Tanya recording new song melodies and snippets on her iphone...finding a way to say through a song, what seems impossible to voice otherwise.

Every life is a story. And somewhere in between the pages of Tanya Godsey's life she's learning how to leave more and more space "for the hand of a writing God."
