Fans spend thousands of dollars every year on VIP access to their favorite artists. Taking in a big stage show with hundreds or thousands of other fans is one thing, but to sit feet away from a singer-songwriter in a setting that allows you to hear every lyric along with the stories behind the songs is priceless. Writers Rounds at the Merrill feature the best talent the Midwest has to offer. So, if you're the type of fan who loves discovering great, new, original music, this is your opportunity. VIP tickets holders, beginning at 5:30pm, are welcome to enjoy light appetizers during a pre-show meet and greet session. If you are planning to enjoy dinner before the show (perhaps at Maxwell's), a General Admission ticket will give you plenty of time to do that before joining us at 6:15pm. A cash bar will be available, so you will be able to grab a drink and settle in for the show at 6:30pm. With three artists on stage, the first will tell the story behind their song, perform it and then the second artist will do the same, then the third...and then the performance will go back aROUND to the first artist. The show will include an intermission where guests are encouraged to interact with the performers and will conclude around 8:30pm. The Merrill Hotel is graciously sponsoring the event by providing performance space AND accommodations for our feature performers traveling from states away. These professional, touring musicians are graciously waving their usual talent fees so we can donate as many of your ticket dollars as possible to Muscatine's Domestic Violence Shelter.
