Last Planet

Last Planet, a rising band from Oakland, CA, is serving up their unique take on alt-rock–one song per month–throughout the rest of 2023. Formed in 2018 by two songwriting musicians who met while working at Guitar Center in San Francisco, Last Planet rapidly grew to a dynamic band of six, rocking Bay Area venues and releasing a debut EP, Petrichor.
Rai Ahmed-Green transitioning to lead female vocalist and co-songwriter brought a sultry infusion of Soul and R&B. Mixing raw and processed elements, Last Planet found their signature sound: soulful vocals over modern rock. Last Planet is excited to drop "Seaglass," their third in a series of 2023 singles. "Seaglass" and their recently released single, "Whiskey Breath," embody their new sound.
