RYAN MARTIN JOHN 'GOODNESS GRACIOUS GRACELESS' ALBUM TOUR

 FREE ENTRY After a string of singles teasing the later half of 2022, alt-country singer songwriter/ producer Ryan Martin John finally debut’s his first full length album ‘Goodness Gracious Graceless’ in 2023. Taking cues from country singer-songwriters - and record makers - from the late 60's/ early 70's, RMJ's debut harkens back to an era of alt-country music where big guitars and soaring harmonies were king, whilst penning the modern world through the eyes of an an introvert - as can be heard on the lead single 'INFJ'. 

Ryan showed glimpses of this LP in 2022 with the release of the summer-soaked 'Sunburn', the introspective, nocturnally-fingerpicked 'Gridlock' and the infectious falsettoed 'I've Been Waiting' - the latter of which maintaining three weeks in the AMRAP metro charts top 10. As for the album; the LP is a dynamic journey with moments that could easily have been neighbour to moments on Willie Nelson's 'Stardust' or Flying Burrito Brother's 'Gilded Palace of Sin'. Ryan, also a recording engineer in his own right, self-engineered and mixed this album entirely, deliberately honing in on studio gear choices and techniques that would put the record akin to the same early era - ribbon microphones, and minimalist mixing techniques to tap into the heart and soul of a much romanticised era of country-folk songwriting. The Taproom will see a very special duo set from Ryan and guitarist Tom Kneebone, with the pair delivering the album in it's rawest form - one that RMJ relishes in.
