About this concert
Return gig at Luthier's. Had a great crowd last time. The new release "Ain't a Grave"
will be out by then. We've added new tunes and this is a tune-up for the SoulFest in August. Because of other musical commitments, we don't get to sync our schedules
as often as we'd like.

Michael Hakanson-Stacy & the Gullywhumpers Biography
This band came about during the recording of two projects during the pandemic: "Firehouse is Burning" and "Still Burning." These are drenched in swampy blues tunes
about the world's woes from Covid, weather and political upheaval. Always rooted in Gospel Blues, this has been Michael's calling card for well over 30 years. We have just finished recording a new release entitled "Aint a Grave" which is a collection of songs about death (shedding the mortal coil) and the here after. Unliked other releases, this one is mostly cover tunes by the likes of Larry Campbell, Mavis Staples,
Pop Staples, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Willie Johnson and Buddy Miller. Stay tuned!
