POWERSTROKE Biography

"The Ultimate in Metal"

This is a description of the music Powerstroke (B / NL) got on their latest album "Omissa", being released worldwide by German label Bret Hard Records / Rough Trade Distribution in the first quarter of 2018. On the song "Can’t Change the Time" the Antwerp rap star Slongs Dievanongs plays a leading role.

The first reviews are outstanding.
Rock Tribune (B) rated "Omissa" 90/100 and called it a perfect mix of hardcore, thrash metal, punk rock and death metal and "just the ultimate in metal".
Aardschok (NL) 85/100: "An album on which Powerstroke managed to capture the acclaimed energy of their live performances in the studio" and "Metal and hardcore fiery played in catchy songs".
Powerstroke calls it catchy, powerful and groovy. "Omissa" was mixed by Joe Cincotta (Obituary, Suffocation) and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat).

The band has a solid live reputation, characterized by an intense, energetic show and a heavy, groovy sound.

Powerstroke, founded in 2007 by Maarten Geeraerts, has played almost 300 shows, as main and support act for Ice T's Body Count, Pro-Pain, Death Angel, Agent Steel, Suicidal Tendencies, Crowbar, Six Feet Under and at festivals such as Wacken, Graspop, Alcatraz and Antwerp Metal Fest.
