Kevin California

After the debut of his affectionately titled, “Dear Mom” EP and two follow-up singles, ‘I Am’ and ‘Golden Dreams’, Kevin California has released a new 6-song EP, TIMELESS, encompassing influences from folk to rock to reggae. This Toronto-based Canadian singer-songwriter-producer displays influences from Jason Mraz, Mumford and Sons, Zac Brown Band among many others.

Kevin studied Independent Music Production at UCLA Extension, but his interest for travel and adventure did not stop there as Kevin went on to intern at a professional studio in Montréal, increasing his skills and confidence to self-produce and record a new six-collection masterpiece in the culturally-rich city. Kevin has performed numerous times throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to previous live performances at Move Music Festival in New York and House of Blues in Los Angeles, Kevin California performed a weekly residency for six months at Le Dépanneur Café in Montréal where he honed in on his music performing style and met some of the fellow musicians who were eventually recorded on his TIMELESS – EP. Then, Kevin took to the roads of Ontario where he performed a tour of twenty performances scattered throughout the province, including a sold-out theatre show in Kitchener-Waterloo and notable performances at Collective Arts in Hamilton and at C’est What? in Toronto.

Now living in Toronto, of course near The Beaches, Kevin California has released his new EP, TIMELESS. Kevin has worked with many professionals in the industry while constructing his TIMELESS – EP, including mixing engineers, Darryl Swann from Los Angeles and Jesse Tolbert from Detroit, mastering engineer, Richard Addison from Montréal, who recently worked on Charlotte Cardin’s Main Girl EP, graphic artist, Sarai Llamas from Spain and countless other fantastic musicians, engineers and artists from around the world.

Kevin California’s list of achievements include being chosen as a select few by curators to present original music to Brandi Carlile in a songwriting circle hosted by Grammy U, continuous airplay on campus and community radio stations in Canada and the United States including CBC Radio, televised performances on Rogers TV, addition to popular Spotify playlists and over 150,000 views on YouTube.
