Beth Lucas Biography

Beth Lucas made her return to the music industry in late 2021, bringing a fresh alt-country sound that has quickly earned her a place in the Australian country music scene. Since then, she has shown no signs of slowing down, opening for viral US country artist Alexandra Kay on her maiden Australian tour, and sharing stages with Australian country legends like Travis Collins, Adam Brand, and Matt Cornell.

In 2024, Beth has already released three notable tracks. "Rearview Mirror," an anthem of self-reflection and perseverance, was recorded and produced by James North and features US drummer Travis McNabb, known for his work with Sugarland, Megan Moroney and Little Big Town. "Pieces," a song that delves into the complexities of a relationship breakdown, was penned by Nashville songwriter Michael Adams and features a collaboration with Bundaberg’s Mark Lavender and Peter Eckel on banjo. "One Stoplight Town," an upbeat track about young love in a small town, was recorded at Airlock Studios by James See and showcases Beth’s live band, including Dan Colborne on bass, Dan Henwood on guitar, Peter Eckel on banjo, and Scott Eckel on drums. This track is the first of two singles from her upcoming project, The Airlock Sessions.

Beth’s talent has been widely recognised in the Australian country music community. In August 2024, she advanced to the Grand Final of the Mothertone Gympie Music Muster talent search, a year after winning The Ekka’s Country Music Showdown. She is also a graduate of the CMAA Academy of Country Music, where she received the prestigious Keith Urban Scholarship, leading to multiple performances at the 2023 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Beth continues to be a regular fixture at major festivals like Groundwater and Gympie Music Muster, further solidifying her reputation as one of Australia's rising country music stars.
