Very heartfelt, fun and professionally presented. B&H really identified with the audience who loved their performance. Two extremely talented professionals with a warm touch.
After over 70 years of watching performances, this was among the very best. Bill H.

Bettman & Halpin Biography
Nationally touring and award winning Americana Folk Singer-songwriters Bettman & Halpin have been winning the hearts of folk music fans for nearly a decade. Their sound combines the melodious but powerful soprano of Stephanie Bettman and the multi instrumental wizardry and shimmering vocal harmonies of Luke Halpin.
Stephanie’s songs are sometimes sad, sometimes sassy, but always spellbinding. As a vocalist, she has been often compared to such legendary singers as Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, and Judy Collins. She moves effortlessly from her up-tempo bluegrass originals (featuring her fiery fiddling), to a soothing honey-sweet ballad, to a rousing passionate anthem. While her first-rate fiddling combines elements of bluegrass and jazz, in her essence there is tribute to such masters as Stephane Grappelli, Byron Berline, and Johnny Gimble.
Luke Halpin is a renowned multi-instrumentalist who drawas inspiration from the likes of Sam Bush, Mork O’Connor, and Tony Rice. A dynamic vocalist himself, Halpin has worked the stages with the likes of Merle Haggard, Lone Star, and The Steve Miller Band.
As a duo they have created a fully acoustic, delightfully eclectic sound that is far greater than the sum of it’s parts. Together they weave a spell that takes the listener from up-tempo down home fiddlin’, to soulful sorrowful ballads, to super hooky folk/pop with melodies and lyrics that will stick with you long after the concert is over.
The duo has been recognized in various Regional and National competitions, including Grand Prize Winners in the So Cal Live Acoustic Music Competition, winners in The Great American Song Contest, and the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Competition, as well as being named in Music Connection’s Top 25 New Music Critiques. Bettman & Halpin's 5 CDs have recieved national and international radio play, as well as critical acclaim.
