Ingdorf Biography

We began writing music back in 2010 in the midst of Ben, Mike and Ryan's old band Emotional Wreck. We just picked up random instruments and started making noise. When Emotional Wreck broke up in 2011, that summer Mike and Ben were experimenting with electronic music in Mike's room. We decided to bring what used to be Ingdorf back. We started recording right out of the gate in July of 2011. All 17 songs on what we called an "album" were improvised as we went along. The album itself was very immature in terms of our musical careers due to a lack of a set musical direction. We ended up selling home made copies of this album entitled "This Is The Name Of The Album." It was released on October 31, 2011. We were practicing regularly up until February 2012. After that time we went on an unofficial hiatus, still planning a return. Ingdorf came back into existence in the summer of 2012. We began writing. At this time, we had cut out the goofing around and actually wanted to create something worthwhile. With a variety of new and old influences, we all decided the Experimental Post-Hardcore genre best described our matured sound. We began working on a new EP with a fresh new energy that would be the seed to sprout who Ingdorf is. In the middle of recording our debut EP titled "Street Walker" we had Mitchell Docarmo join the band as our primary vocalist (without any announcement) Mitch has taken care of all lyrical duties for the EP. A few months after Mitch joined, we decided to add another vocalist to the line up. We brought in our friend John Maxwell of I AM WAVES after their break up. Although John is a good friend of ours who we all love, due to unforeseen complications we have unfortunately had to part ways. We all wish him luck and continue to support our friend through everything. Soon after we announced that our good friend Dave Barnes is our new second vocalist. Our debut EP came out on May 10th 2014 and is available for stream and free download at http://ingdorf.bandcamp.com/album/street-walker-ep We can not begin to thank everyone enough for their generous support! This is only the beginning for Ingdorf, many great things are still yet to come. We love each and every one of you. In fall of 2014, we welcomed Matthew Schroeder into Ingdorf as rhythm guitarist. After gigging relentlessly since the release of Street Walker, with and without Matt, due to personal obligations he will no longer play rhythm guitar for Ingdorf. On April 18th we went into the studio with Matt to record a single we had previously written and was set to be the first track on our planned upcoming release "Rejected Inventory to be Destroyed" the single entitled "Krav Maga" will be released May 15th, 2015. After working hard trying to find the perfect fit, we came across Kris Rehfuss (formally of Mercy Starts With Me) with his hard working tendencies and display of immense dedication we decided to welcome him with open arms into Ingdorf as our new second guitarist. As a final, full complete line up, we are setting out to create the best possible sound we could even imagine, working diligently on our next release.
