Mackenzie Carpenter Biography

Hailing from Athens, GA, Mackenzie Carpenter is a singer/songwriter whose soulful Country tone was honed by singing in her local church as a kid. She was inspired by her dad to begin writing songs while her two older brothers taught her how to play guitar. Her musical upbringing led her to attend Belmont University in Nashville where she immediately immersed herself into the local songwriting community. Her first cut as a songwriter, “Villain,” landed at No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart. She then burst onto the artist scene with her successful first single “Can’t Nobody,” and the much anticipated, “Huntin’ Season,” following a video of her performance at a writer’s round that amassed 6+ MILLION views on TikTok alone. Mackenzie is building a strong fanbase online and on the road having already opened for Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, Parker McCollum, Craig Campbell, Ryan Hurd, and Conner Smith. After starting off the year being named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country and playing sold-out shows at the Listening Room and the Basement East, she is currently in the studio recording her debut project and gearing up for incredible events like Country Thunder, Tortuga Music Festival, and Stagecoach in 2023.
