Pinch us: Shearwater AND Loma are playing a special gig right here at Patchwork! This is a big deal for us and we know you're going to love it too. Two internationally acclaimed bands are about to embark on their first European tour in eight years, and they're warming up in our venue atop the hill. We are giddy with excitement. Loma and Shearwater are co-headlining the "When Can I See You?" tour, 18 shows across northern Europe and the UK this November. It's the first time either band has performed live since 2018, and London has already sold out. Shearwater Over more than two decades, Shearwater has built an epic, adventurous body of work. Led by singer and writer Jonathan Meiburg, his songs range from intricate miniatures to grand landscapes, walking the line between joy and sorrow, hope and anger. Shearwater has toured with everyone from St. Vincent to Coldplay and in 2018 performed an elaborate reconstruction of David Bowie's "Berlin" Trilogy for WNYC's New Sounds. Their latest album, The New World (2026), follows the stirring The Great Awakening (2022). Loma Loma began as a serendipitous collaboration between Emily Cross (Pinky to those who know her locally!), multi-instrumentalist and engineer Dan Duszynski, and Shearwater's Jonathan Meiburg. They write by consensus: Emily is always the singer, but the three often swap instruments, and Meiburg likens the process to an ouija board. Their albums Loma (2018), Don't Shy Away (2020) and How Will I Live Without A Body? (2023) are gently spectacular, with a light touch that belies themes of solitude, impermanence and finding light in deep darkness. Two bands, one stage and a room intimate enough to feel every note. Get your tickets now! This will be a standing gig. ---------- Patchwork Studios operate a diverse and inclusive programme of creative events. From firm festival circuit favourites, undiscovered local acts fresh on the scene, and underground DJs from across the region, to some of the most exciting acts smashing into the national limelight; you’ll find it all up at Maker Heights. These events vitally support our rural community offerings, helping us to improve social integration, while also celebrating culture and inspiring creativity. Our Tavern within the venue is open until late during show nights, dishing out all the finest local tipples to keep you hydrated.

Artist bio
LOMA is Emily Cross (Cross Record), Dan Duszynski, and Jonathan Meiburg (Shearwater). We met on tour together in 2016 and secretly formed a new band. Then we made an eerie and beautiful album way out in the country in Texas. Then, we made another.

We believe in dogs, waterfalls, avocados, frogs, scorpions, and the human spirit.
