Digital Carbs

Between dream and reality, between intimacy and alienation, between gray mining towns and a society fat on digital carbs. From the solo beginnings of bassist and singer Johannes Rest, Digital Carbs has evolved into one of Munich’s most exciting genre-defying rock acts, with their reach quickly spreading beyond the city through relentless touring across Europe. Complex rhythms, expansive soundscapes and hypnotic grooves come together with songwriting that is anything but predictable. On their album “Oh Hedonism”, Digital Carbs move between powerful riffs, psychedelic textures and dynamic arrangements, sometimes driving forward, sometimes drifting into more atmospheric territory. Live, the songs really come into their own: a journey through progressive rock, alternative and psychedelia.
