Artist bio
The False Idols are Dylan Webster (vocals, bass), Dylan Williams (guitars) and Aaron van Wyk (drums). They formed in Swansea and are now based in Bristol.
Reverb-heavy guitars, big choruses, and the swagger of early Kasabian with the space of early Verve. Loud rooms suit them. They have headlined The Bunkhouse in Swansea and The Louisiana in Bristol, and played sold out shows at The Social and 100 Club in London.
Debut single 'Through The Storm' came out on 10 July 2026 on Echo Bass Records and found an audience quickly, pulling in listeners well beyond the rooms they have played so far. It was written from a dream one of the band had during a rough patch, and it is a song about coming out the other side. Michael Smith (Wolf Alice) mixed it. Andy 'Hippy' Baldwin (Oasis, Blur, Stormzy) mastered it at Metropolis Studios in London.
