Ward Thomas

Really loved seeing Ward Thomas live. The gig had a wonderfully personal, intimate feel to it, and the stripped-back versions of some of the songs were a real highlight. It felt much more individual than simply hearing the studio versions performed live, and the vocals sounded fantastic. The venue was excellent too — really good acoustics, effective air conditioning, decent bars and good facilities overall. Everything worked well and made for a really enjoyable evening. My only disappointment was that they didn’t play their newest song. Given it’s their latest release, that felt like a slightly strange omission and a missed opportunity! Other than that, a brilliant gig and a great venue. Would definitely see Ward Thomas again.
