Born from grief and fuelled by love, 1111 is the musical vision of St Albans-based artist Lauren Cumberpatch; created in honour of her late brother Ian. Rooted in a shared obsession with underground club culture, their mutual connection to dance music became the foundation on which 1111 now stands. With Ian’s influence woven into every beat, bassline, and melody, she transforms loss into something fiercely alive on the dancefloor.

Starting out as a songwriter and vocalist under the alias Lauren L’aimant, Lauren’s path shifted after Ian’s death; she began creating the music she truly loved, without restriction — channelling his rebellious energy. Weaving her skills into music that reflects love, joy, loss, and resilience, she draws inspiration from music in all its forms, finding her core in Garage, Breaks, and Techno — with a signature pulse that’s original, heartfelt, and unapologetically bold.

Dubbed a “triple threat” by BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar and championed by tastemakers such as Danny Howard, 1111 is earning a formidable reputation for genre-blending productions and high energy DJ sets — a pairing that makes her impossible to ignore.

2025 has been and continues to be a year of growth, as 1111 steps into the artist she sees herself becoming — all while putting energy into projects like 1111’s USB Club, a platform championing emerging producers and building community within the dance music scene.
