About this concert
7:30 PM GMT+129 Going
Chris de Burgh is back at Cadogan Hall. Two years after he marked half a century in music on our stage, he returns with It’s Never Too Late – an evening built around the songs that have travelled with audiences for five decades, and the stories behind them. The tour takes its name from one of the new songs on 50, the anniversary album Chris released in 2024. It also says something about the man himself. Since his debut album, Far Beyond These Castle Walls, in 1974, he has written more than 330 songs, released over 20 studio albums and sold more than 45 million records worldwide. He has never stopped writing, touring or finding new listeners along the way. You’ll know the songs. ‘The Lady in Red’ reached No. 1 in 47 countries and recently found a new generation on the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack. ‘Don’t Pay the Ferryman’ and ‘High on Emotion’ remain as vivid as the day they were written. But it’s the storytelling that makes a Chris de Burgh concert what it is: tales of love, loss and far-off places, told by someone who still clearly loves telling them. “Without the love and support of my audience I would never have had such a long career.” Chris de Burgh Our near-1,000-seat auditorium suits an evening like this. Close enough to catch every word, warm enough for the whole room to join in on the chorus. Early booking strongly recommended. Duration: to be confirmed – we will update this page as soon as we have running times. Please do not call the Box Office as they do not have any further information than that currently on our website. Most events last 2 – 2½ hours, evening events generally finishing no later than 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9pm on Sundays.

Artist bio
Chris de Burgh (born October 15th, 1948) is an Irish musician and songwriter.

Born Christopher John Davison in Buenos Aires, Argentina (he is the son of a British diplomat and an Irish secretary), his father's career moved the family to numerous places around the globe such as Malta, Nigeria, and Zaire. At the age of twelve, the family returned home to live in Tomhaggard in County Wexford, Ireland, where his father bought the twelfth century Bargy Castle and converted it into a hotel.

A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, as a performer, he adopted his mother's maiden name as his stage name. Performing songs crossed between Driving Rock and Middle of the Road catchy pop, De Burgh is most famous for his single "Lady in Red" from the album Into the Light. For that album, released in 1986, he included the song "For Rosanna" he had written to celebrate the 1984 birth of his daughter. Rosanna Davison won the Miss World title in 2003. He also has two sons named Hubie and Michael by his wife Diane.

His songs have appeared in films as diverse as Arthur 2 , American Psycho and Dodgeball and his records have sold more than forty million units internationally. On tour he is known to the crew as stumpy due to his lack of inches.
