Artist bio
GRAMMY-nominated and 6x #1 hitmaker, John Morgan delivers country music with a blue-collar edge rooted in the only life he knows. The North Carolina native grew up playing bluegrass festivals in his family band. Now a “Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean) and “in-demand songcrafter” (Billboard), John has written 16 songs for Jason Aldean alone — including Aldean’s #1 hits “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” “Whiskey Drink,” “Don’t Tell On Me” and the GRAMMY®-nominated “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood. His songs have also been recorded by Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett. Morgan’s breakout moment came with his debut single “Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean),” which shot to #1 at country radio — earning him his fourth #1 as a songwriter and first as an artist. Morgan’s songwriting also earned him the coveted CMA Triple Play Award. The momentum continues with his debut album Carolina Blue which features the rising single “Kid Myself,” currently climbing the charts. Having already played the Grand Ole Opry and toured with Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Riley Green, ERNEST, and more, John is heading out on Brantley Gilbert's “Real American Tour” this fall where he will sing his hits and preview new music like his latest release “Once in a Mile.” John has a track record that proves that he’s not just one of Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters - he’s one of its next big stars.
