Melbourne indie rock band Jacobs Run headline a special Sunday afternoon show at Shotkickers, joined by Peter Freebairn + Radio Vertigo.At the heart of Jacobs Run is a musical friendship stretching back to their teenage years in Melbourne in the 1980s. Decades later, that connection found a new expression in Jacobs Run, with the band releasing their self-titled debut album in 2019.Their music is melodic, guitar-driven rock, combining Britpop influences with layered guitars, strong melodies and rich vocal harmonies.Their second album, The Other Side, was released in 2025 and produced by Mark Opitz AM, whose credits include AC/DC, INXS, Cold Chisel and Noiseworks. The album expanded the band’s sound with orchestral and choral arrangements, including a 32-piece orchestra conducted by George Ellis.For the Shotkickers live show, Michael Jacobs (vocals/guitar), Peter Curigliano (bass/vocals) and Fabian Bucci (drums/vocals) will be joined by Mark Eppel on keyboards and Greg Moseley on guitar, expanding Jacobs Run to a five-piece lineup.Special guest Peter Freebairn performs with his full backing band, Radio Vertigo.
