Pintail

Pintail was started in 2024 by Tyler Zucco-Bernard as a more songwriting-forward outlet for pieces that did not quite fit with his mathy-shoegaze band This Body Is All I Have In This World. Tyler brought in longtime friends and collaborators Alex Deroo (The Bonds) on drums and Jordan Wolfe (Modern Crocodiles) on bass, as well as new friend Michael Bravata, an experimental guitarist. Together, they refined Tyler’s songs into the EP Bury a Body, Grow a Person.

With an emphasis on emotion and connection, Pintail draws from a wide range of musical influences. Spacey melodic guitars from the worlds of shoegaze and post-rock meet the grooves and low end of math-rock and early 2000s “indie-sleaze,” creating an indie-emo sound that keeps lyrics, melody, and feeling at the forefront of every song and live performance.
