After a short winter hiatus ELYK are back with their sophomore single ‘Sunday’ being launched at The Tote Upstairs on Thursday 22nd October. The band are carving out a name for themselves in the Naarm music space with groovy jam band aesthetics and narrative-heavy lyrics to sink your teeth into. ELYK played a handful of shows, selling out The Gasometer upstairs in 2025 before it closed as well as joining the lineup for Brunswick Music Festival in early 2026. This will be their only headline show for the year and it will not be one to miss. Whether you have been following ELYK since the beginning of their journey or have just heard their latest single ‘Whatever Happens Tomorrow’ this will certainly be a show to bring your dancing shoes to. ELYK is a Naarm, Melbourne-based songwriter whose 2023 debut EP ‘Obsessed With Growing Up’ blends indie, pop, and hip hop influences with raw, vulnerable lyrics about their coming of age. After a couple of live shows with a backing track and mic in 2023, ELYK has worked tirelessly to put together a band to elevate his sound. With undeniable talent amongst the 5 piece band they have reimagined ELYK’s original tracks, adding depth and energy that complement the sincerity of the lyrics.
The group’s dedication to their craft is evident in their relentless pursuit of musical growth leading up to their backyard performance at the start of 2025 to show off what has been in the works. Their fan base has begun to grow as they put in the work week in week out to share their passion and love for music.
This is just the starting line for ELYK as they continue to learn, create and collaborate with their new band and friends.
