****"Overwhelmingly unique and pleasing" - RNR MAGAZINE
“It’s hard to believe there will be a better debut album this year" - FOLK RADIO UK
The Last Inklings are Leo MacKenzie and David Hoyland, accomplished multi-instrumentalists with a solid folk background. The band's innovative sound crosses genres, centred around cello, mandolin and vocal harmony, layered with guitar, piano, strings, synths and percussion. With vibrant backstories and creative musicianship, their songs have a modern flavour that is rich with imagery and narrative, exploring at their core what it is to be human.
Their debut album The Impossible Wild charted in the Official Folk Charts Top 40 and received the Fatea Magazine Debut Album of the Year Award.
With support from Alex Beds
Singer songwriter Alex Beds slept on floors in Wales, in abandoned cinemas in Crewe and lived an entire lifetime travelling the UK and Europe in the 2000s and 2010s fronting indie folk band Fearne.
A chance encounter with the Ukulele began a love affair that nobody
saw coming and 13 years on he is now one of the most recognisable faces in the ukulele world. Don't let that paint a picture of what to expect because musically he lays it all out there, he’s still that struggling artist travelling across Europe chasing his dreams.
