Soot Sprite

Oh yes pals! We welcome emo-core shoegazers Soot Sprite to Oxford as they head out on tour in November - let's welcome them with open arms at the Library on Thurs 12th Nov! Soot Sprite originated in Devon in 2018 by front-woman Elise Cook. Since then they have released 3 EP’s (one self released) and their debut album under Specialist Subject Records. Soot Sprite extensively toured the UK and Europe, sharing the stage with bands such as Sweet Pill, SUDS, Chase Petra and Bears In Trees and released their debut album ‘Wield Your Hope Like A Weapon’ in 2025 to much critical acclaim. Clash Magazine- “A piece of art that perfectly captures something vital about what it means to hope for a better 2025 - 8/10” KEXP - “A potent set of alternative sweeping rock and epic bedroom rock that mixes shoegaze, grunge and emo elements to serve as the backdrop to Elise’s urgent, expressive, dark-yet triumphant lyrics” This is a hot ticket in the intimate basement of the Library - looking forward to having them back in town after they played our Oh, Community! last summer!
