Gatsu

Though similar to classic New Orleans sludge groups, Gatsu has of a kinship to alternative and psychedelic metal and rock bands (such as Windhand, My Bloody Valentine, and Electric Wizard), containing a much wider range of influence that reflects the bands personal taste. Blending elements of doom metal, alternative rock, and shoegaze; Gatsu sets themselves apart from the typical New Orleans metal band. In 2024 the band released ‘I Must Scream’ which immediately set the precedent for the band’s sound and helped gained some attention from the metal underground online. On July 24, 2026, the Ep ‘Hymns from the Abyss’ is set to release.
