Med en kompromisslös mix av elektroniska, organiska och orkestrala inslag presenterar hon sitt mest personliga material hittills – skapat på en avskild ö i Värmland med inspiration från naturen, tystnaden och folktro. Fusing timeless melodramatic pop with electronic sonics, the story of GERD begins at the genesis.
The Swedish P3 Guld-winning artist started rhythmic music classes at the age of one and listening through Queen and Kate Bush records was the highlight of her day.
Determined to find her own sound she went on to challenge her vocal prowess by taking on the art of opera - the sound of GERD emerged where the different worlds collided.
Fast forward to now. Her debut single Lies For A Liar was premiered by none other than Zane Lowe. And now, fresh off her debut album Meet Me In The Blue, GERD pulls us into an immersive and unfamiliar realm with her experimental arrangements and untraditional songwriting.
Whether it’s performing with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, or doing an electric pop-up show at San Vicente Bungalows, the critically acclaimed newcomer is known for her euphoric live performances.
The P3 Guld-winner has been praised by the likes of Zane Lowe, Jan Gradvall, Swedish Radio P3 while her debut EP In It To Lose was released to critical acclaim.
