Bachman-Turner Overdrive is making their debut on the Ruth Eckerd Hall stage for their No Speed Limit Tour, with special guest John Waite! In 2023, Bachman revived BTO, the legendary rock n’ roll band behind worldwide hits such as Takin’ Care Of Business and You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet, and has continued to tour for several years. Led by Bachman, BTO recently revamped its lineup with his son Tal Bachman on guitar; his daughter-in-law KoKo Bachman on drums; as well as his friends Lance Lapointe on bass and Brent Knudsen on guitar, for a true family affair. The BTO legacy lives on, promising unforgettable performances and a continued impact on the ever-evolving rock landscape. Randy Bachman has become a legendary figure in the rock n’ roll world through his talents as a guitarist, songwriter, performer and producer. To date, he has earned over 120 gold and platinum album/singles awards around the world. His songwriting has garnered him the coveted #1 spot on radio playlists in over 20 countries and over the course of his career he has sold over 40 million records. John Waite’s catalogue of hits features some of the most loved songs of the 80s and 90s – the #1 Worldwide hit Missing You, The Baby’s Isn't It Time and Bad English When I See You Smile rank amongst some of his biggest international hits and are still heard on radio today. Others include Midwest Rendezvous, Every Time I Think Of You and Headfirst. If Anybody Had A Heart appeared on the soundtrack to the 1986 Demi Moore film About Last Night. As a solo artist and as the lead singer of The Baby’s and Bad English, John Waite was a fixture of album-oriented rock radio stations and is a current fixture across many streaming platforms.

Artist bio
John Charles Waite, born on July 4, 1955, in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, is a rock singer.
Waite has been a solo artist for most of his career but was first known as lead singer of The Babys a group which had moderate chart success but enjoyed a solid following for their concert tours.
Shortly after the release of the Babys' fifth album "On the Edge" in October 1980 the group broke up.
Waite launched his solo career with his 1982 album titled Ignition, which produced the hit single "Change" written by Holly Knight and included on the Vision Quest soundtrack.
His next album, No Brakes, made him an international star. This album included the smash hit "Missing You," which went to No.1 on the American charts.
There finally seemed to be mass recognition for a singer who, certainly for those familiar with his work, was underestimated and underpromoted.
"If Anybody Had a Heart" from the soundtrack of About Last Night starring Demi Moore showcases Waite's voice along with "Deal for Life" written by Martin Page and Bernie Taupin from Days of Thunder.
He has also served as the lead singer and bass player of The Babys and as lead singer for Bad English (featuring Journey members Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain, along with future Journey member Deen Castronovo).
Bad English's "When I See You Smile" penned by Diane Warren was also a number one song in the United States in late-1989. He co-wrote "Price of Love" another top 10 hit from the first Bad English album.
There was nearly a six year gap between his 1984 chart success and the Bad English single. During this period Waite produced solo albums "Mask of Smiles" and "Rovers Return" marked by sensitive lyrics and haunting melodies.
He was one of the artists chosen by Ringo Starr in 2003 to tour with his All Starr Band.
