About Bucket
Bucket
Bucket formed in western Massachusetts in 2013 in the famed scene that is responsible for bands like Dinosaur Jr., The Pixies, Speedy Ortiz, and Prewn. The band has mostly played in local basements for its thirteen year run, but is leveling up, releasing two EPs in 2026 on Sad Cactus Records. Both were tracked at Recorders studio in Los Angeles, mixed by Justin Pizzoferrato (Dinosaur Jr., Pixies, Sonic Youth, Parquet Courts), and mastered by Julian Fader (youbet, Frankie Cosmos, Ava Luna).
Bucket trades heavy jagged guitars with pedal steel country hooks. Referencing the current alt-country wave of bands like Wednesday and MJ Lenderman, Bucket is a slacker guitar band with sloppy pop tendencies, ready to take on the world. Find them in a basement near you.
