Artist bio
Based in Kansas City, MO, ENDRID makes concept-driven "nu-gaze/alt-rock" that includes quiet to crushing dynamics, melody first, and impact when it counts. The band—Cody Winters (guitar, vocals), Donovan K. Johnson (bass), Sage Wallace (guitar) Cameron Marks (drums) - build songs where dynamics serve emotion: focused stories, shifting perspectives, and arrangements that move from hushed ambience to heavy, cathartic peaks. It’s connection over perfection—music that turns shadows into movement and asks you to keep going.
The upcoming single “Wendigo”, produced and mixed by Brody McKeegan, is a world where fear, memory, and self-acceptance collide—haunting melodies, layered guitars, and a rhythm section that balances restraint with impact. The world sits slightly off-axis: dreams bleed into reality, fear turns into movement, transformation feels inevitable and invited. It’s the only track that flips voices between human narrator and “monster,” and the only song in the set that references a pre-existing, physical legend—used as a mirror, not a costume.
For fans of, Deftones, Soundgarden, and A Perfect Circle , — “Wendigo” arrives Sept 22, pre sales begin Aug 22, and a feature version with a local female artist follows about a month later. If you show up, it’s not just for a live show—it’s to be a part of something bigger than all of us. There’s a reason people say never meet your heroes: the mask is easier than the truth. We’re not the hero; we’re the catalyst.
