Agustín Strizzi Biography
Agustin Strizzi discovered his passion for music at a young age through drumming and doing gigs in his early years at school in his native home of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Although his main instrument are the drums, he has a wide range of experience as a percussionist, composer, arranger, and music instructor.
Wanting to pursue his passion further, Agustin followed both traditional and nontraditional means of education. He attended several traditional schools, including Palermo University, the ITMC (Contemporary Music Institute), and the Argentine Society of Authors and Music Composers (SADAIC). Outside of brick-and-mortar educational institutions, Agustin traveled to expand his musical horizons, to places such as the USA, Brazil, Cuba, Uruguay & Poland. Along the way, he also took private lessons with experts and renowned musicians.
To Agustin, music has no genders, no age, no nationality, and it allows us to connect with others and with ourselves at a profound level. Driven by this power, he set out to dissolve his own borders. He´s toured on Rock stages, appeared on TV Shows such as Good Morning Lithuania, and Jazz Festivals. He has also performed at Symphonic Halls, like Gasteig in Munich, and Theaters and in Musicals in both European and American countries, including Romania, Switzerland, Bolivia, Spain and Mexico.
He currently resides in Berlin, Germany, where he is focused on the production of his new record, his teaching activities, and the demand as a sideman. When he isn’t performing or teaching, you can bump into him in his weekly 10k run or hiking in the woods.
