While some splits are inevitable („Splitsville“), forced („Splitter“) or even pathological („Split Brain“) many a split in society feels avoidable yet driven by certain forces in the discourse („Split The Rich“). If splits were to be split again and again however, wouldn’t that mean a comeback of nuance, plurality and community? SPLIT SPLIT. Musically, ’SPLIT SPLIT’ offers a mix of melancholic post-rock and shoegaze with elements of post-punk, ambient and industrial. The use of multiple loop stations allows the two multi-instrumentalists to portray a 5-piece band and leads to surprising twists and turns challenging listening habits.
