Artist bio
The Rose consists of four members: vocalist/guitarist Woosung, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Dojoon, vocalist/bassist Jaehyeong, and vocalist/drummer Hajoon. In 2015 Dojoon, Jaehyeong, and Hajoon started off as a trio under the name “Windfall”. They wrote their own original music and began busking in Korea. After some time, they recruited Woosung and started releasing new music. The Rose quickly became one of Korea’s hottest groups and spent the next several years releasing several critically acclaimed albums and played all around the world. In 2019, the band took a formal break to accommodate for some members’ mandatory Korean military service. During that time, WOOSUNG continued on with his own solo career (debarking slightly from the band's traditional sound) releasing several albums and played several sold-out world tours. However, Woosung itched to return to working with The Rose and they made plans to reunite. In 2022, the band has turned their sights on writing their new album. Inspired by their motto “music heals,” HEAL is an album about stories of both their fans’ and themselves on the healing power of music. They are a band devoted to their fans and the strength of their own friendship. Along the way, they are breaking records: they became the first K-Pop group to be officially part of Discord and have set records for every appearance on the platform. The next year holds a magical time for The Rose with a new album, a world tour, and many more stories!
