Artist bio
Built around songwriter Aaron Spransy, Sinnet is a Boston-based band blending indie rock and soul into bright, human-scale songs—sweet melodies, a little grit at the edges, and arrangements that feel like old friends showing up right on time. Whether it’s bedroom-born intimacy or full-band lift, Sinnet’s sound is heartfelt and unpretentious: craft-forward pop instincts with deep grooves, just enough fuzz and atmosphere to keep it interesting.
What started as a solo experiment after Spransy’s move from Milwaukee quickly grew into a rotating cast of collaborators and a distinctive sound that blends indie rock with touches of soul, surf, pop, and psychedelia. Drawing inspiration from artists like Paul Simon, Spoon, and Booker T & The MGs.
Along the way, they’ve collaborated with members of Guster, Karate, The Promise Ring, Pansy Division and Rebuilder. The group has shared bills with artists like Tim Kasher, Julie Rhodes, Low Cut Connie, Hallelujah the Hills, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Jon Nolan, Milemarker, The Barr Brothers, Phoneboy and more.
Recently the band contributed a track to Starstruck: A Tribute To The Kinks, a compilation featuring tracks by Wheatus, Plus Ones and is working on a new soul-influenced LP with Brian Charles at Rare Signals in Cambridge.
