Blackout - Funkband Biography
The floor rumbles, the groove floats in the air and nobody seems to be able stop shaking their tail feathers: Blackout is on stage releasing the funk! The 11 disco-fetishists
from the Pustertal and Eisacktal valleys have come together to change the world with handmade, 100% organic South-Tyrolean groove.
If you put your ears to the speakers and listen closely, you will notice how the most diverse influences, genres and styles of the musicians blend into a delicious disco-soup that leaves the audience hungry for more. The original songs, but also the rearranged covers guarantee a stuffed dancefloor and hardly ever leave anyone with their back against the wall.
The foundation stone for this project was laid in 2006 in Brixen and Bruneck and from then on, the band members met once or twice a year for sporadic jam sessions.
This tradition, over time, built the foundation of friendship that unites the band today. The stroke of fate which befell a well-known South Tyrolean musician brought the band from the rehearsal room to the stage in 2021 and gave the band members enough motivation to start taking the project seriously.
Three rehearsals later, the band debuted in front of a groove-starved audience. The drug "Blackout" is now officially going around and believe us: it is highly addictive.
