Jaenga

Jaenga (Patrick McDevitt) has had a clear philosophy from day one, music should not be limited by industry standards or genre boundaries. Erupting onto the scene in 2015, Jaenga distinguished himself in the festival circuit early, with his signature purple school bus and his blend of traditional bass music, hip hop acapellas and new-school sound design.

Since his first EP, which was signed to Deadbeats, Jaenga has had a blossoming trajectory in the music scene and has created a community around his art and sound. Pat’s career has taken him from film and drawing to the music world, and the art that accompanies his project is usually created by Pat himself or with his direction which creates a consistent brand that is uniquely ‘Jaenga’.

Since his first EP, Jaenga has gone on to release on Deadbeats several more times along with SubCarbon, 19k, WAKAAN, SSKWAN, MorFlo Records, Insomniac Radio to name a few, and has played at some of the most iconic venues in the country, including Red Rocks, the Hampton Coliseum, Aragon Theater, Webster Hall and many more.

At the heart of this project is the community and friendships that are made along the way. From throwing spontaneous pop-up parties with his secret text hotline, hosting pre-show meetups, or even finding him checking ID’s at the door of his own show to meet fans, attending a Jaenga event is a party amongst friends.
