Jared Sims

JARED SIMS was named the “Jazz Artist of the Year” in the 2025 Boston Music Awards. He performs on all of the saxophones as well as clarinet and flute and he has performed music on five continents. Sims has performed with a vast array of artists including Oteil Burbridge, DJ Logic, Matisyahu, Melvin Sparks, Han Bennink, Cecil McBee, Bob Brookmeyer, Soulive, Stefon Harris, G Love, The Temptations, Dave Liebman, the Four Tops, the 10,000 Maniacs, Noel Gallagher, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, the Artie Shaw Orchestra, and the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra.

Sims has appeared on more than 80 different recordings crossing multiple genres. His solo recordings range from the duo album Night Harbor (2025) with the MacArthur “genius grant” winner Ran Blake, B3 organ funk album Firecracker (2025), the traditional jazz quartet album Standards (2024), the rock/jazz fusion album Hellbender: The Resistance (2023), a jazz quartet album Against all Odds (2022 on Origin Records), The Analogy of the Sun (2021 on MCG Jazz Records), which features Rufus Reid and Matt Wilson.
