About this concert
I’m celebrating 20 years as a recording artist in 2023! What a journey it has been! My debut album ”Spending time with Morgan” came out in May 2003. This is something to celebrate! So my amazing musicians and I are going on the 20th Anniversary Tour, starting September 2023. We will present songs from my whole career.

I am loving her voice and presence. We by chancxe jumped int0 a concert of Ane in Hamburg 2014. That was more like a living room style one, very simple, very close, very acoustic - just wow. The venue Da Roma was fantastic, such a great atmosphere. This was more party as to celebrate her 20 years - and so well deserved. Great band and acoustic, new arrangements - I liked it a lot. Even if we were missing some more acoustic parts - it was a pleasure being with Ane and her fellows again , thanks for that musical party of love!

Ane Brun Biography

One of Scandinavia’s best-loved and most prolific artists, Ane Brun has had an extraordinary career spanning more than 20 years and 20 plus albums – and all on her own terms.

Independent from day one, the Norway-born artist has only become braver and more playful over the years, following her instincts to create freely and fearlessly. Moving away from the savant acoustic folk of her early albums, 2011’s landmark It All Starts with One introduced a more dynamic sound, embracing her love of rhythm and dance. Her evolution continued with 2015’s When I’m Free, with its ‘90s trip hop and electronic influences, and 2020’s After the Great Storm, heralded as her most ambitious and sophisticated songwriting to date.

More intimate albums like 2020’s How Beauty Holds the Hand of Sorrow and 2017’s covers record Leave Me Breathless show that, regardless of genre, Brun’s unfiltered authenticity remains at the core of everything she does. Whether tackling the big questions of mortality and the climate crisis or the complexities of love, her songs are hardwired with hope, a glimpse of salvation in the bones of each one.

Expanding her horizons, Brun has recorded with dance music luminaries, orchestras and film composers. Collaborators include Aurora, ABBA’s Benny Andersson, José Gonzalez, Dustin O’Halloran, Peter Gabriel and the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company. For all her accomplishments, Brun’s ambition still burns brightly with a new studio album set to release in 2025. Whatever the next decade holds, it will be anything but predictable.
