Groundation

Formed in 1998, Groundation established its unique style right from its first albums and quickly rose to international fame. Their blend of roots reggae and experimental jazz takes us on a journey through soaring crescendos and explosive climaxes, dazzling solos, and surprisingly intimate moments—all combined with Harrison Stafford’s distinctive voice and energy.

Since 2000, Groundation has honored Bob Marley's legacy with a special tribute: a unique tour to celebrate the music, message, and enduring influence of the King of Reggae. More than a celebration of Marley's timeless songs, these performances pay homage to The Wailers, whose groundbreaking musicianship established the blueprint for Roots Reggae.

Drawing from both beloved classics and Marley's deeper, more revolutionary works, Groundation brings its own spiritual energy and improvisational style to the music, creating a powerful live experience that connects Bob's message to the present day.

This tribute was performed just once in Europe in 2011. It is particularly well received during tours in USA and South America. Marking the anniversary of Bob Marley's passing on May 11, 1981, Groundation will bring A Tribute to Bob Marley to Europe in May 2027, celebrating one of the greatest musical legacies of all time.
